Photography show and Iana Theatre Company

I hope many people will come to see the beautiful photos now showing until July 29th. at the Tweed Heritage Centre Gallery. Sylvia and Gerry Heaysman have caught lovely pictures on black and white. Pauline Weber discovers a variety of subjects at which to aim her camera. Ted Rayner has stikingly framed his photos most of which are of bird and animals he encounters at his 6 month home at Gull Lake. Bev McConnell also captures loving animals and has a way with abstact which I love. New on the scene is Gabrielle Wilson who can bring a new vision out of an old, hardly discernable photo. In these times when so many of us are interested in genealogy and possess these old photos that require retouching we need to keep Gabrielle in mind. But her talent doesn't end there and I will be interested ot see some of her work which she creates on her computer by drawing.

A lot of activity is taking place at the Actinolite Church Art Centre. These talentd performers are billeted out among local families and we are becoming increasingly eager to see Tim Porter's "TWEED!" A NEW CANADIAN MUSICAL. Show time is Friday,July 16th 7Pm and Sat.July 17th, 2 and 7 pm
